This design is a celebration where flavors, fauna, & flora dance together across the pattern. Crocodiles stalking, our fave snack - salty plums, frangipanis blooming, magpie geese in flight, Poinciana flowers bursting, green ants like jewels - detailed with dot work, mangoes ripe for the picking, Cycads with their prehistoric presence, bowls of delicious laksa & our deadly Aboriginal flag & Torres Strait islander flags in a heart shape. This fabric celebrates Larrakia country - its flavors, its creatures, & its plant life which make this place so unique

LARRAKIA FAUNA

My Larrakia fauna artwork celebrates the diverse wildlife native to the region, showcasing each creature’s natural beauty.  Scattered across a vibrant aqua background are plovers, magpie geese, king brown snakes, frill neck lizards, kangaroos, crocodiles, turtles, barramundi, green tree frogs, and green ants. It was important to pay homage to our beautiful country’s biodiversity and its connection to the land. This pattern will intrigue our newborn babies and educate them at the same time, serving as an ode to our bush tucker and ancestors.
