Welcome Mat – Baiyungu | Aboriginal Art Doormat

This Welcome to Country mat with the Traditional name of “Baiyungu” was produced with the purpose of creating awareness about Country Acknowledgement and Traditional Aboriginal names for places.

Designed by Aboriginal artist Tarisse King, this mat aids in raising awareness about the Original name of the Country that we occupy, along with initiating dialogue regarding cultural connections, and respect and appreciation for community.

The mat is made from sustainable, natural coconut fibers (coir) and embossed in Melbourne (Naarm). The high quality, lasting and robust texture makes this mat functional.
