Welcome Mat – Banjima | Aboriginal Art Doormat

This Welcome to Country mat with the Traditional place name "Banjima" was produced to educate people about the importance of recognising Country and acknowledging its Traditional Aboriginal names.

Developed by Aboriginal artist Tarisse King, this mat assists in raising awareness of the names that Indigenous communities have given their lands, as well as promoting dialogue surrounding cultural connections.

The mat is produced from natural and sustainable coconut fibres (coir) and embossed professionally in Naarm (Melbourne). Its texture is long-lasting and suitable for daily use.

Custom Welcome to Country mats can be produced for other Traditional place names or Nations.
