Welcome Mat – Gamaraigal | Aboriginal Art Doormat

This Welcome to Country mat, which bears the Traditional name "Gamaraigal," has been made as an educative product to promote the acknowledgment of country and the naming of Traditional names of the Aboriginal places.

Produced by an Aboriginal artist named Tarisse King, this mat creates awareness about the Original names of the land people occupy and promotes respectful conversations about culture and connection with country.

It is produced using natural coconut fiber (coir) and has been embossed in Naarm (Melbourne). The texture produced by this process will last for a very long time without wearing out.

Custom Welcome to Country mats can also be made for other Traditional places or nations.
