Welcome Mat – Yuin | Aboriginal Art Doormat

The Welcome to Country Mat with the Traditional name of “Yuin” has been made as a learning tool that will help create awareness about acknowledging the Country and recognizing the Traditional names of Aboriginal places.

Created by Aboriginal artist Tarisse King, the mat will assist in bringing awareness about the names of the Original lands that people inhabit and also help start meaningful discussions concerning culture and connection to Country.

Sustainable and environmentally-friendly coir fibers have been used along with professional embossing techniques in the city of Naarm (Melbourne). The raised textured surface will last longer and be useful in daily settings.
